12th Man.  8th Feb 2017

Everyone seems busy at the moment so just two of us braved the chilly evening on Wednesday 8th February to see Christ Church Players present 12th Man by H Connelly, produced by Ruth Syddall.

I ordered and paid for the tickets in advance as you have to here, at £8 each. The hall was full, about 100 people and it started a few minutes late.

The introduction music set it in Lancashire as did all the paperwork on the set, which was a cricket club.

Action was brisk as befits a comedy and laughs came thick and fast. It was a big cast and in the main everyone fit their parts. I particularly liked Billy Wigley played by Adam Syddall and Jack Digem played by Brian Peel, but they all did a great job although one or two first night nerves crept in to make it slightly jittery in places.

Well worth going to see but I suspect that it might be booked up by now.
